Collins, Wayne (1970–), is a British bartender, brand ambassador, and educator. He is best known for playing a key role in the UK bar renaissance of the 1990s, driving up service standards and improving product knowledge in the industry with the Mixxit training and education program he developed for Maxxium UK. Born and bred in the Camden district of North London, Collins has tended bar all over the world. He was behind the opening of a number of influential bars in the 1990s, including London’s Navajo Joe’s, which at the time reputedly boasted the largest tequila selection outside of Mexico. Blessed with a strong work ethic and a gift for gab, Collins has also made many TV appearances and hosted his own cocktail slot on the BBC’s Something for the Weekend television program for five years.
